Tia Marie

Tia Marie was our first special needs baby. She was thrown out of a moving car at the age of 6 in Rockford Illinois someone witnessed it and brought her to the humane society. After recovering one of the vet techs and her husband took her in as a long term foster. They eventually divorced and she was unable to take her and he wasn’t able to take care of her as she needed. She was surrendered to MARS in MN through a friend of his and that is where we found her. Love at first sight! We knew she was so special! She was 12 years old at that time and given a year. It took a while but we got her figured out and chronic UTIs went away and her health improved dramatically…thank you Stella and Cheweys….. We modified her wheelchair and bought her a remote control pink Porsche that she loved to ride around in. She went with me everywhere including work. She was the BNSF/AAW mascot in my office location. She was loved and followed by thousands on Facebook.  We lost her January  11th 2022 at the age of 20. She passed in moms arms. She was and will always be our baby girl love of our lives. Blessed to have had her in our lives. She is the reason we do what we do. Missed terribly.
